We have recently launched an upgrade to the Nautilarm Xtreme which now includes Geofencing. This boat alarm will text you (and, if required, set off the siren and strobe on the boat) if the boat moves outside a preset distance.
This can be used as an anchor alarm, swing mooring alarm and protect the boat from theft (from moorings or on trailer).
Moreover, if the boat is stolen then it can be tracked which will improve the authorities chances of quickly recovering the vessel.
Like the rest of the product range this has been designed to take minimal current from the battery. Typically you will get several months from a normal battery. Therefore using this as for example an anchor warning has significant advantages over leaving your chart plotter powered up:
- it will text you if you are ashore - or even miles away
- it will not drain the battery (typically a chart plotter left on would drain the battery in a matter of hours)
This is the ultimate in fully functioning boat alarms, boat monitoring systems with remote control functionality.
